Da der Save or Splurge Beitrag über Sneaker Wedges der eindeutig am meisten angeklickte Post in diesem Blog ist und unterdessen schon wieder so viele neue Modelle rausgekommen sind, gibt’s hier ein kleines Update. Ich hoffe, es gefällt euch!

Mein persönlicher Favorit ist der schwarze Sneaker von Asos, der erste in der ersten Reihe – hab ich mir diese Woche auch gleich bestellt und jetzt warte ich sehnlichst auf seine Ankunft. Bitte beeile dich, lieber Kurier!

PS: Auch hier noch einmal einen Hinweis auf Deichmann / Dosenbach, die neue „Keil Stiefeletten“ von Catwalk haben. Es gibt welche in braun/leo und schwarz/leo, je 50 Euro.

As the Save or Splurge on Sneaker / Trainer Wedges has been by far the most accessed article on this blog and some cool new models have hit the High Street, here’s a quick update. Hope you like it.

My personal favorite is the black shoe from Asos, the first one in the first line on the left. In fact, I just ordered a pair last week and can’t wait for the parcel to arrive. Hurry up, Royal Mail!

So toll ich Sommer, Sonne und Wärme finde – wenn ich mir Mango und H&M Lookbooks für die neuen Herbst / Winter Kollektionen so ansehe, freue ich mich fast schon wieder auf die kühleren Jahreszeiten. Bei Mango gibt es viel schwarz-weiss, tolle Hüte, Leder und rockig-chice Looks, H&M setzt mehr auf Extravaganz mit Leder-Accessoires, reich besetzten Schmuckkrägen und viel Bling Bling. Mir gefallen beide Kollektionen ganz gut, bei Mango hatte ich echt Mühe, mich nur für einige Teile zu entscheiden und nicht das ganze Lookbook zu posten, bei H&M mag ich besonders die Mäntel und das bestickte Shirt.

Ich freue mich schon darauf, die Stücke bald in echt zu begutachten!

As much as I love summer – the Mango and H&M lookbooks for autumn / winter 2012 really make me look forward to the cooler time of the year. Mango focuses on a lot of black and white, great hats, leather and cool looks while H&M goes for more extravagant pieces with leather accessories, bedazzled collars and a lot of bling bling.

I like both collections a lot and almost posted the entire Mango collection here because I had great difficulties deciding on just a few pieces. At H&M, I especially like the coats and the sequined shirt.

Can’t wait to have a good real-life look at those great collections soon!

Get Ready For Summer!

Endlich ist es Frühling! Zeit für kurze Kleidchen, Sonnenbaden, lange Abende draussen und natürlich Gartenpartys!

Finally spring has arrived! Time for short sundresses, sunbathing, long evenings outside and of course garden parties!

Caviar Mani – Yay Or Nay?

„Caviar Maniküre“ nennt sich der neuste dreidimensionale Nagellacktrend aus dem Hause Ciaté. Wie’s funktioniert? Einfach eine Schicht Nagellack aufpinseln, dann die winzigen Perlen drüberstreuen, eine Viertelstunde trocknen lassen, Topcoat drüber, fertig!

Ganz ehrlich, mich erinnern die „kaviar“geschmückten schwarzen Nägel irgendwie an  Gummi-Brombeeren – und die möchte ich nun wirklich nicht auf meinen Nägeln spazieren führen (sondern allesamt mit einem grossen Bissen verschlingen, mmmh!). Und die perlenbesetzten Lippen auf den Nagellackverpackungen finde ich auch eher abtörnend – kann man damit nur mit Strohhalm trinken, weil die Dinger überall kleben bleiben? Wie klebt man die überhaupt an? Und wie eklig wird sich das wohl nur beim Küssen anfühlen?

Aber zurück zu der „Caviar Mani“ – defintiv kein Trend für mich. Aber wie siehts bei euch aus? Gefallen euch die perlenbesetzten Nägel? (oder sogar die Lippen?)

The „caviar mani“ seems to be the latest trend in nailpolishes, created by the UK’s Ciate. All you need to do to turn your nails into three-dimensional works of art is putting on some nailpolish, sprinkle the tiny pearls all over, let your nails dry, finish them off with topcoat and you’re done!

My opinon? The black „caviar dipped“ nails somehow remind me of candy blackberries – and that’s definitely not a look I want to have on my nails (I’d rather gulp down a huge handful of those sweet little treats to be honest!) . And the pearl-covered lips on the package rather turn me off, too. Aside from looking very strange, they seem rather impractical, too. How do you drink with those thingys on your lips? How do you actually glue them on? And how awkward it must feel to kiss someone with tiny pearls on your lips… eeewh, no thanks!

But back to the „caviar mani“ – that’s definitely no trend for me. But how about you? Do you like the pearl-covered nails? (or even the lips?)

Save Or Splurge: Neon Bags & Shoes

Neon scheint ja dieses Jahr ein echtes Comeback zu feiern: Ob als Color-Blocking Elemente oder strahlende Accessoires zu einem schlichten Casuallooks, Schuhe und Taschen in Knallfarben bringen ein richtiges Frühlingsleuchten in jedes Outfit.

Wie sieht es bei euch auch? Wie findet ihr den Neon-Trend? Wie würdet ihr die Stücke kombinieren? Und habt ihr euch schon das eine oder andere Teil gegönnt?

Mein persönlicher Favorit aus den obigen Stücken ist eindeutig die neonpinke Satcheltasche der Cambridge Satchel Company <3. Ich habe sie mir zwar (noch) nicht gegönnt, mich aber mit der pinken Hose aus der H&M Conscious Collection schon etwas an den Neon Look herangewagt und muss sagen, er gefällt mir ganz gut und macht richtig Laune auf den Frühling.

Neon seems to give a real comeback this year. I’m obviously not talking about an ’80s trash pieces revival but rather about the cool accessories high class designers as well as high street brands have come up with this season. While the more adventurous fashionistas combine these shoes and bags with other bright colors, others can easily use one of the pieces to bring an eye-catching pop of color to a casual, clean outfit.

What about you guys? Do you like the „new neon“? How would you combine the flashy accessories? Or did you already treat yourself to one of the pieces above?

Personally, I do absolutely adore the pink satchel from Cambridge Satchel Company <3. I did not buy it (yet) but have already tried out the neon trend by buying (and wearing, obviously) the pink pants from the H&M Conscious Collection. I must admit, I was a bit sceptical at first because I mainly wear black, white and red, but did actually quite like the spring feeling that instantly came with wearing the pants.
